Description

Chlorhexidine is a well established disinfectant, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal ingredient. It has proved reliable to maintain a normal plaque-free environment in the mouth and is a supportive product in animals recovering from gingivitis and skin fold dermatitis. It is especially effective in the mouth and, unlike other actives, chlorhexidine is bound to proteins and enamel and is released slowly over a period of 24 hours giving a „depot“ effect.
Dentisept is specially formulated in a palatable paste for ease of application and acceptance and adheres to the mucous membrane in the mouth as well as the teeth.
By maintaining a normal environment in the mouth the formation of damaging properties like tartar and plaque can be slowed or even avoided by regular application of Dentisept.
